The client:
Inevitech Limited are a technology company providing the services behind Inevidesk.
Inevidesk services include virtual desk infrastructure; allowing companies to work seamlessly no matter the location of their employees.
What we did:
Following our audit of data provided by London Borough of Southwark, we identified a potential avenue to reduce the business rates liability of Inevitech. After conducting further research into the company we confirmed our hypothesis and got in touch.
Upon being instructed, we built and submitted an application to the local authority. The application was ultimately successful, however, the credit generated was smaller than we had estimated.
We identified the reason behind the reduced credit; the local authority had not applied all relevant ongoing reliefs and had incorrectly offset a proportion of the credit against future sums. We contested with the council, who remedied their position.
The result:
Our contest was successful and the resultant credit matched our estimations. Inevitech received a significant refund and had their ongoing liabilities substantially reduced.
